Bureau of Independent Review

Roy Wesley assumed the duties of Acting Chief Assistant Inspector General of the Bureau of Independent Review on December 7, 2010. Mr. Wesley previously served as Senior Assistant Inspector General for the Northern Region and Senior Assistant Inspector General for the Medical Monitoring Team at the Bureau of Independent Review.

Before entering state service in 2007, Mr. Wesley was in private civil practice for twenty years specializing in workers' compensation and insurance subrogation litigation. Mr. Wesley retired from the US Navy Reserve at the rank of Commander in 2005 after 28 years of service.

Mr. Wesley earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Southern Illinois University. He is a member of the California State Bar.
